CHARACTER
Name: Phil Connors
True Name: "Phil." Just Phil.
Canon: Groundhog Day the Musical (a few years post-show)
CRAU: Prismatica, three months after the End of the game. Note that when I apped him into Prismatica, he was five years post-canon. Pretty much nothing notable happened in that span except that he got married.
Age: 45
History: Here.
During Prismatica, notable events include:
Powers/Abilities: Mastered many mundane skills, including but not limited to: ice sculpting, playing piano, piano tuning, replacing tires, delivering babies, fixing old coffee machines, the Heimlich maneuver, fluency in French (with a horrible accent), and vocal coaching. He also possesses the meteorological and presentational skills that his career as a weatherman entails.
Picked up from Prismatica: extremely minor ice magic, like freezing a surface, making snowballs, or making a drink cold. Also is capable of flight with his wings. Possesses owlish vision (sharp eyes and night vision, though he still needs reading glasses for things up close) and hearing.
Inventory: Sunglasses, earplugs, his wallet, his keys, his phone, his reading glasses, his watch, some Xanax. Nothing special.
Job History: Worked retail in college and hated it. After college and for most of his life he's worked either as a focused meteorologist or doing the double-work of meteorologist and weatherman. He is very good at his job.
Suppressions:
Greatest Fear: Getting caught in a second time loop; he doesn't know what he'd do if he had to go through that again. Something terrible happening to Rita, or god forbid she gets swept along in this magic shit with him. Being completely unmoored and without friends or company or anyone. Haunted by the thought of how bad he truly could've gotten without Rita's intervention.
Greatest Desire: Living long, and both loving and being loved the whole way out. Once, it would have been the normal vices of fame and money. He's much simpler now.
Greatest Regret: Being who he used to be, a complete and utter selfish jackass who tried to force his now-wife Rita to love him and who was just awful to everybody and so self-centered he didn't know how to make a single friend for basically thirty years. Fears other people seeing or realizing who he once was and turning their backs on him for it. He's made something of a peace with his past self, but other people may not be so open to reckoning with it, and he fears losing them.

History: Here.
During Prismatica, notable events include:
- nearly died because of nightmares physically afflicting the dreamer,
- got turned into a vampire for a month one time,
- got a permanent pair of owl wings as well as some more subtle owl features.
- He also met one of his best friends here, Henry Cooldown, who he owes something of a life debt to, and is the second person he's ever mentioned the time loop to (the first being Rita). As the apocalypse came and the game ended, the two of them worked together to evacuate civilians from the cities, and after all was done, they were gifted prisms that allowed them to pass between their home realms and the world of Prismatica. Phil and Henry use this regularly to meet and catch up--well, used, now that he's here.
- I don't think it was specified, so I roll with the idea that when he's in his home realm, the magic stuff disappears just to make my life easier.

Suppressions:
- Constantly fighting back nihilistic depression, self-loathing, and physically self-destructive thoughts. Generally successful at it, but not always easy. He regrets a lot of who he used to be and worries he hasn't changed enough for the better, even though he more than has.
- Also, like most people, fights to be patient before his temper gets the better of him and he says something he'll regret. He had to learn this patience very carefully. He's very successful at holding back most of the time, these days.
- Is afraid of getting Groundhog Day'd again. Checks frequently to make sure time is still moving on as it should; his watch is precious. Shuffles the items on his nightstand constantly. This fear comes too easily to him.
